Brick 9 - Update

I can't believe it has been 2 months already. Will is growing by the day and we are so in love with him. He starts school tomorrow so that is going to be a big change for us. We will see how he and mommy do tomorrow. Here are a few pictures from the past two months:

Brick 8 - Baby Will is HERE

Water broke at 2:00am in the mornning. Got to hospital and they hooked me up to monitors. I was dialated to a whopping 1! We were almost there...haha. Gave me some potossin and an epidural when I was a little more dialated. Around 2:00pm I was ready to push. The only people in the room for the next 2 hours were Tara (my wonderful nurse), Paul, and my mom. Everyone was great coaches and we laughed and enjoyed each other for the first hour and then the epidural wore off and no one was laughing after that. At 4:15 the Dr. came in and gave me my last epidural and Will was out at 4:24. Out of 14 births that day in the hospital, I was the only one who did not have to have a c-section. Let's just say that since I could feel the contractions there was no stopping my pushing...later we found out that my epidural had been leaking and I was not given the full dose promised earlier that day.

William Luke Mason was 6lbs. 11oz. and 20in. He is the cutest, sweetest, most precious bundle of joy we have ever met. We are so in love with him! Here are some pictures of our days at the hospital:

Brick 6 - April/May

I can't believe how fast April and May have gone. I think being a school teacher helps the time to fly by. This is officially my last week of school. I am taking the last two weeks off to rest and get ready for Will. Oh, how excited I am!

This past month we have been busy with baby showers. We truly have been so blessed by our families and friends. We had a Houston baby shower that was perfect in every way. I got to see some people who I haven't seen in a long time. It was good to see everyone!

Here are the sweet hostesses from my Houston shower
The Girls
Paul and I and all our gifts
Before I left for Houston my 5th grade team put together a wonderful school shower. Again so blessed by everyone! I have a picture of my whole 5th grade team but it is not showing up.

My sister Mal and I
The other shower I had was my church shower. My family came in town for this one too. It is so amazing to see how much love everyone already has for Will. He is one lucky little guy!

My sisters, mom, Bailey, and Logan (he loved Mal's hair)
All the wonderful hostesses
Every year Paul and his college buddies get together for a baseball weekend. This year they decided on St. Louis. I love how they enjoy this time with each other. The next few years will be a little tricky with all the babies (maybe they will start taking the kids with them and then all the moms can get together for a spa weekend. I think this is a GRAND idea. I'm sure all of them would agree.)

Paul and all his buddies
And finally the 35 week picture. Will continues to grow each day and moves around constantly. I am starting to think he is running out of room in my stomach. It is amazing how much he moves around every day. I always thought I would have to worry about counting his kicks and making sure he was getting his 10 kicks in a day but don't worry because he doesn't stop.

35 weeks and growing
We can't wait for everyone to meet Will!

Brick 5 - Update

I am not very good at this blog thing but I will work on it. We are still working on his room but should be done very soon. I am getting more and more anxious about him coming. We just can not wait!!

Here are two pictures of me at 30 weeks and 32 weeks. I am at 33 weeks and can't believe how fast the last trimester has gone.

Out of order but the top is 32 weeks and the bottom pic is 30 weeks. I will post pictures soon of my last 3 showers. I had a church shower last week that was given by some wonderful friends and then I have a school shower this week and then a Houston shower this weekend. We have been so blessed by all our friends and family!

Brick 4 - 30 weeks

Well, I am 30 weeks almost 31 weeks (tomorrow). I can't believe we are 9 weeks away from having little Will. We are busy getting things ready for his arrival and can't wait for him to get here. His room is coming together and I will post pictures of his room soon.

I took my glucose test a week ago and found out yesterday that I failed it. So, I had to go in today and do the 3 hour glucose test. We will find out tomorrow if our eating habits have to change. Since I knew I would be at the doctor for a long time today I decided to start reading a book that had been given to me by my mom and sister (since I have been pregnant I have not wanted to read much and this is the first book I have read while pregnant). They told me I just had to read it because I would love it. This book was recommended to me about 7 years ago from one of my college roommates (Chels). I told her that I think it would be a little too boring for my liking (don't worry Chels, I told my mom and sister the same thing). I am a little too picky and when it comes to covers of books if I don't like the cover I won't read it. However, I started it and I am really liking it. The title... "Redeeming Love". I am now a fan and can't put it down (except to update my blog). I know that was all random but if you haven't read it you need to read it.

Here are a few pictures of my growing belly.

Brick 3 - A Baby Shower for Will

This past weekend some of my best friends hosted the perfect baby shower for Will. I had so much fun and appreciated all they did for us. They went above and beyond. Here are a few pictures from the shower. Thank you again girls for everything!

Kasey, Whitney, Mal, Me, Sara, and Kellee

My mom and sister

Whitney and Lisa
Mallory and Sara
One of the neat things they also did was had everyone bring a book instead of writing on a card. I loved reading all the messages inside the books. I can't wait until I can read them to Will.
