Brick 12 - Houston

We are moving!! Yes, we are very sad to be leaving our Dallas friends, work, and church but we are excited to be moving to Houston. Will is going to be close to his cousins, JuJu and PopPop, and lots of family. We sold our house (which we have had since we got married) and have started the packing process. We are so blessed with how it all worked out and are looking forward to the next chapter in our life.

Lord willing, I will go back to teaching in the Fall (don't know where or how that will happen seeing all the budget cuts taking place but we will keep praying for another door to open) and we will try and find another great place for Will to go to school. We have loved his school and are sad to say "good-bye" to his first teachers but we know there is going to be another great school out there for him.

Paul will be working at his same company and will be working in their downtown offices. Hopefully he will be able to handle the commute for awhile. Once we find out where I might be teaching we will start looking for a place close to my work.

Will had his baby dedication at church last week...here are a few pictures from that:

He wanted to tell his dad that he was excited about moving to Houston (he's still figuring out the difference between nose and ear)

Brick 11

This little 7 month old got his second part of his flu shot yesterday and did not cry at all. He wanted to cry but Paul did a great job of keeping him occupied. I think he wanted his dad to know that he is one tough guy because when I took him a month ago he was scream crying when he got his shots.

Here's to one tough little guy (the real batman).

Brick 10

I can't believe it has been 5 months since my last post. The past 5 months have been an adventure for us...

-We all went back to school and work on the same day in August (on that day we found out we had a water leak in our house and had to move out for 2 weeks. We stayed with our amazing friends the Pearsons and can't describe how blessed we were by them) That was a great way to start the new school year.

-Then my sister moved to ROME (not Texas Rome)!!

-Paul and I took a trip to Portland, Oregan for his cousin's wedding. This was our first time away from Will. He was only 5 months at the time. My wonderful parents came and stayed with him for those 4 days. He loved spending time with them and did GREAT! Paul and I on the other hand had fun in Portland but were so ready to get back to Will.

-Will is the BEST baby in the world and we could not ask for anything more. He has really helped me get back in to the routine of school by sleeping through the night and being a good baby all the time. He loves his teachers and friends at school and is doing WONDERFUL with them. They all love him (but really who wouldn't). It was hard at the beginning to drop him off at school but knowing that he loves interacting with all the other kids really makes it ok. I still get sad dropping him off in the morning but there is nothing better then picking him up after school. He always has the biggest smile and laugh for me when I get there and I just eat him up every day. We have so much fun with him and love watching him grow. He is one LOVED guy!

-I will leave you with pictures of the past few months.

Brick 8 - Baby Will is HERE

Water broke at 2:00am in the mornning. Got to hospital and they hooked me up to monitors. I was dialated to a whopping 1! We were almost there...haha. Gave me some potossin and an epidural when I was a little more dialated. Around 2:00pm I was ready to push. The only people in the room for the next 2 hours were Tara (my wonderful nurse), Paul, and my mom. Everyone was great coaches and we laughed and enjoyed each other for the first hour and then the epidural wore off and no one was laughing after that. At 4:15 the Dr. came in and gave me my last epidural and Will was out at 4:24. Out of 14 births that day in the hospital, I was the only one who did not have to have a c-section. Let's just say that since I could feel the contractions there was no stopping my pushing...later we found out that my epidural had been leaking and I was not given the full dose promised earlier that day.

William Luke Mason was 6lbs. 11oz. and 20in. He is the cutest, sweetest, most precious bundle of joy we have ever met. We are so in love with him! Here are some pictures of our days at the hospital:
