Brick 8 - Baby Will is HERE

Water broke at 2:00am in the mornning. Got to hospital and they hooked me up to monitors. I was dialated to a whopping 1! We were almost there...haha. Gave me some potossin and an epidural when I was a little more dialated. Around 2:00pm I was ready to push. The only people in the room for the next 2 hours were Tara (my wonderful nurse), Paul, and my mom. Everyone was great coaches and we laughed and enjoyed each other for the first hour and then the epidural wore off and no one was laughing after that. At 4:15 the Dr. came in and gave me my last epidural and Will was out at 4:24. Out of 14 births that day in the hospital, I was the only one who did not have to have a c-section. Let's just say that since I could feel the contractions there was no stopping my pushing...later we found out that my epidural had been leaking and I was not given the full dose promised earlier that day.

William Luke Mason was 6lbs. 11oz. and 20in. He is the cutest, sweetest, most precious bundle of joy we have ever met. We are so in love with him! Here are some pictures of our days at the hospital:

He is so sweet Katie. Such a beautiful baby. I am sorry that I have commented/communicated in every form possible! You are probably getting so tired of me!

I feel your pain with the epidural thing...mine knocked out the contractions, but I felt ALL of the pushing part. I remember asking my nurse if it was normal to be able to lift my legs up with no problem and she gave me this weird look. I NEVER lost feeling from the hips down. I SCREAMED during the pushing part :) But now I strangley enough can't wait to do it all again. Love you friend. Enjoy that angel baby.

I love you so much and am so happy for you and Paul! - So sorry to hear that your epidural wore off. That stinks. I KNOW the pain, and I don't envy you! Seeing Will made it all worth it though, right?

Okay, since I look at Will's pictures now at least once a day I thought it might be okay if I left a second comment. I know it's sometimes hard to tell with a newborn, but this is what I think so far... He looks like he might have his daddy's nose, the same eye shape as his daddy's although I think the color might be blue like his mommy's. I think he has his mommy's mouth and looks like his mommy when he's crying. Overall the verdict is that he is extremely cute...as are his mommy and daddy. :) Hope everything is going great at home!
